Stained Glass Designs

These beautiful silk stained glass designs are created in many different colourways. Sometimes, the stained glass effect runs all along the scarf or shawl. Occasionally, I will use it as a frame around a second design. 

The silk is hand dyed by me in my French studio, laboriously wound onto the loom, and then woven by hand. The resulting garment is soft and silky to the touch, and has a wonderful texture. The fabric shimmers and glows in the light, and the colours interact as it moves.
