Glorious colours in fair isle shawls
Some years ago I made myself a fair isle shawl using about twenty-five different and completely random glorious colours. The result was fun and original, and also heavenly to wear.
Suddenly, I had people asking me to make more. Since then they have become increasingly popular, especially as a Christmas gift.
They are made on my vintage knitting machine and each one takes about two days. With between 20 – 30 colours in each one, they are never quite the same. Needless to say, they are always full of glorious colours, toasty and warm. Now, I also occasionally make less dramatic, knitted shawls, with perhaps just two contrasting colours.

All my fair isle shawls are made from 100% wool and should be hand washed and dried flat.
