Stained Glass Designs
I have added a new category to my shop called Stained Glass Designs. At the moment there are not many items, but I will be weaving more of this design throughout the year and wanted to highlight it accordingly.
The design is a deflected double weave and, as is so often the case, my inspiration comes from Marian Stubenitsky’s books. With my new loom (have I mentioned that I have a new loom?) I was able to vary the shape of the cells.
This photo was taken before the fringes were finished but I was excited by the blend of colours and the shapes of the cells. Of course, blues and greens are notoriously difficult to reproduce on a screen – in real life the scarf veers more towards jade (the colour of the weft).
I am planning a general shop update and tidy up over the next few days. I’m not brilliant at web design and it might well take another year, but I hope not! In the meantime please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like more information about my work.
Right – back to the web design…
