Wedding Season
As the wedding season gets going, bridal, bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride accessories are something to think about. Also, at this time of year the evenings are still cool. So a soft silk shawl is the perfect wedding accessory to drape over your shoulders during dinner or afterwards.
This shawl was handwoven last week. Made of pure silk it is off white or cream in colour. The pattern, inspired by Canadian weaver Susan Harvey, shimmers gently as it catches the light.
Although the light in my studio is not ideal, I think it gives you an idea of the softness and subtleness of the design. It is a long shawl – approximately 52 cms (20 inches) wide. More information about this item can be found by clicking the link below.
