- Shop UpdateThis video is an attempt to show you the irridescence in each of the scarves. (I say scarves, but they are 43cms wide and could also be worn as a shawl).
- Stained Glass DesignsAt the moment there are not many Stained Glass design scarves, but I will be weaving more throughout the year and wanted to share a few details.
- A Short VideoA short video to demonstrate that occasionally my silk scarf weaving doesn’t always go according to plan.
- Marian StubenitskyIn 2016 I spent a week at Marian’s studio in Arnheim, Netherlands, studying her Echo technique. Since then I have woven dozens of scarves using this technique and her deflected double weave designs.

- AzureWhy not treat yourself to a chic silk shawl or wide scarf that shimmers and catches the light with every graceful movement?
- SOLD! The Perfect GiftMy plum-coloured Dancing Squares silk shawl was bought by a lady who first saw it three weeks ago. Thinking it would be the perfect gift for her elderly mother, she came back several times to admire it and take photos for her father who was gifting it to her mother. How wonderful. I would have loved to have seen her face on opening her thoughtful gift.
- Wedding SeasonAs the wedding season gets going, bride, bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride accessories are something to think about. At this time of year the evenings can still be quite cool. So a soft silk shawl is the perfect wedding accessory to drape over your shoulders during dinner or afterwards. This particular shawl was handwoven last week. Made of pure silk it is off white or cream in colour and it shimmers gently as it catches the light.
- Life Before WeavingPeople assume it was a dream to live here, a professional move or family connections. What actually happened is that we set sail on a 6 month sailing journey in 1990, and 3 and a half years later, ended up in France. Watch my short presentation on YouTube to see and hear the full story
- Glasses CasesThese glasses cases really are one of a kind, made from any leftover samples or warp. They are nearly all made from 100% pure silk. The original design is by MOMENTS by Liz and I love the funkiness of it. Just imagine having this in your handbag to protect your reading or sun glasses.
- Let’s Weave A VideoImagine a scarf that will lift your spirits and reflect your colourful character – this is that scarf. I promise it will be listed in the shop in a few short days. In the meantime, here’s a short video that will make you smile.
- Ondulé Reed, or Fan ReedA short time ago, I made a couple of videos showing how I attached the ondulé reed to my loom and how I adjusted it during weaving. I was on my own and had to fix the camera in place and hope for the best. So, it’s not perfect, but I think you will get the idea.
- Press : JHTTextiles On Local TelevisionIn January, I was contacted by the producer of L’Infiltré and asked if they could come and film me in my workroom. The video is in French but you should get the idea from the filming.
- Designing…or trying toWho knows how it will turn out, but I thought I’d give you an idea of the start and end points of one of my design. This process took place over three days. I started with an idea, changed the colours, changed the design, took time to think and reflect then finally..
- Warping – A Quick LookRecently, I have had a few questions from newer weavers about the equipment I use for warping. So I have prepared a brief overview with photos. I hope you find it useful.
